EMAIL ..IP Blocks / No Login Screen
Servers use multiple systems to stop & block hacking attempts. One such system looks for failed logins & other signs of abuse attempts. IP blocks may be caused by:
- Wrong passwords, sporadic internet, incorrect settings
In addition, the software firewall looks for malicious activity signs that will then cause blocking.
- File names with special charters
- Poor file naming (spaces, double periods, and more
- Email forwards with special charters (may need to remove the part with code before forwarding
- Poor internet connections causing data transfer issues
- If the device was on one network and then switched during the active session, it could cause a block.
It is important to use safe file naming habits such as no spaces, no special characters, short and with file extension. Use safe file name when sending or receiving attachments.
- Replying to an email & including the content of prior email which contains coding may cause blocking
If blocking has happened inadvertently, the server admin will need your public IP4 address to further analysis the situation. This can be obtained at whatsmyip.org or a similar site.
